- On Friday night, Cornell's Galal Cancer appeared in the opener of the Capital District Summer League.
- In the FIBA Centrobasket Championship for Senior Men in Puerto Rico last week, Cornell's Jonathan Gray and his U.S. Virigin Islands team finished the tournament 1-3. For his part, Gray averaged 8.5 points and 2.3 rebounds per game and played 22.3 minutes per game.
- Cornell incoming freshman, Braxston Bunce (Kelowna Secondary School) Kelowna, BC, Canada, 6-11, C, playing for the Canadian Junior Men's National Team in the FIBA Americas U18 Championships in Brazil last week, captured the Bronze medal.
- In the International Basketball League, Jason Hartford (Cornell '08) scored 28 points on Friday and 14 points on Saturday in a pair of defeats with his Yamhill Highflyers. The Yamhill News Register recaps Hartford's weekend performance. Hartford and the Highflyers are back in action on Friday.
- Nets Daily notes that Jeff Foote (Cornell '10) is among the four committed players on the Brooklyn Nets' summer league team which will play between July 9-16 in Orlando. The others are Marshon Brooks, Jordan Williams and Julian Wright.
