Saint Francis U welcomes Cornell to Loretto for the first time since the 2002-03 season on Friday for a 7 p.m. contest. The Big Red, which is 0-2 at the Stokes Center, represents the last of SFU's 11 non-conference opponents this season.
While the Red Flash looks to snap a 12-game skid dating back to last season, Cornell has en- joyed moments of success so far in 2012-13 but is currently mired in a three-game skid. Two of those losses, however, were at Vanderbilt and no. 1 Duke.
The Big Red and Red Flash have played one common opponents to date: Colgate. Cornell defeated the Raiders, 70-63, on Dec. 1.
Sophomore forward Shonn Miller is Cornell's top scorer, averaging 10.4 points per contest. Miller also leads his team in rebounds (8.2 rpg) and blocks (21).
Through 10 non-conference games a season ago, SFU sat at 1-9, playing four of those con- tests in the friendly confines of DeGol Arena.
After today's game, SFU welcomes Central Connecticut on Jan. 3 to open Northeast Conference play.
