YALE at CORNELL
• When: Friday, 7 p.m.
• Where: Newman Arena, Ithaca, N.Y.
• Records: Yale 13-9 (7-1 Ivy); Cornell 2-20 (1-7)
• Internet: IvyLeagueDigitalNetwork.com
• What to look for: Yale begins yet another pivotal weekend in its quest for its first Ivy League title since 2002 when it puts a six-game winning streak on the line at Cornell. The Bulldogs got a big final five minutes from Javier Duren to edge the Big Red earlier in the season. But Duren, who scored seven of his team-high 19 points late in the second half as Yale won 61-57, will be a game-time decision on Friday with a high ankle sprain. Yale enters the weekend tied with Harvard atop the Ivy.
Cornell, which defeated Dartmouth last weekend for its first league win, is paced by Nolan Cressler (16.5 ppg). The Big Red are having a dreadful season, ranking last in virtually every offensive and defensive category in the league. The Bulldogs, however, can’t afford to look past anyone.
