- As was rumored for the last few days, it is now confirmed that Jeff Foote has signed with Zalgiris of Lithuania on a 1-year contract (Link to team website). Zalgris is currently ranked as the No. 4 professional team in Europe and finished last season 21-1 in the LKL (Lithuanian premier league). Zalgris also participated in the prestigious EuroLeague and will do so again this year. Compared by Zalgiris club owner, Vladimir Romanov to Arvydas Sabonis (who is the current team president), Foote and his new club open the season on October 6. Taking notice, Nets Daily writes, "One center who won't be in [the Brooklyn Nets training] camp is Jeff Foote. The Armor center has signed with Zalgiris in Lithuania."
