Daily Pennsylvanian examines what is left for the Quakers this season and writes, "Cornell is a should-win game...So predictions-wise, I’d say Penn wins only one game (Cornell) in its next three, but I think the senior Quakers will go out with their heads held high."

Sports on Earth writes, "the Ivy League, because they have to be so smart about everything, doesn't have a postseason tournament, which means six teams (who have already been eliminated from championship contention) have no shot at the NCAA tournament. (Columbia, Brown, Princeton, Pennsylvania, Dartmouth and Cornell.) Harvard has a two-game lead on Yale and only needs to win one of its last two games to clinch a spot and eliminate Yale."

The New Haven Register Entertainment Section profiles music legends, the Satins and writes,
"Walter Esdaile, who was a 1965 All-America basketball player at Hillhouse before moving on to Cornell University and a career in business and as a city official, said his first date with his wife, Sharyn, 'was my junior prom — and (the Satins) were the entertainment.'"

All Sports Discussion writes, "Boston College. I never thought Jeff Bzdelik was a good hire. Brian Gregory was meh… but I thought Steve Donahue could do good things at Boston College. He was a big winner at Cornell and even went to the Sweet 16 in 2010. This is also his 4th year at Boston College, and this year besides the epic upset at Syracuse has been a disaster. Donahue’s issue is he hasn’t recruited well. He doesn’t have a single top 25 class while at BC. His teams defensively simply aren’t athletic enough to effectively guard ACC caliber players on a consistent basis. I don’t know how patient Boston College can be with him, but if you aren’t moving forward in year 4 then it’s you should probably look elsewhere."

Cornell's incoming recruiting class next season includes four members: Riley Glassmann (Fremd HS) Palatine, IL, 6-5, G, William "Will" Bathurst (Olean HS) Olean, NY, 6-3, G, Jordan Abdur-Ra'oof (Gonzaga HS) Washington, D.C., 6-7, F, and Pat Smith (Archbishop Wood HS) Warminster, PA, 6-5, F. New York State Mr. Basketball Finalist, Wil Bathurst had 24 points in a state playoff win per WGRZ/NBC News.

Cornell RPI Watch: The RPI (Rating Percentage Index) is a measure of strength of schedule and how a team does against that schedule. It does not consider the margin of victory, but only whether or not a team won and where the game was played (home/away/neutral court). The formula is 25% team winning percentage (WP), 50% opponents' average winning percentage (OWP), and 25% opponents' opponents' average winning percentage (OOWP). (See: CollegeRPI.com for a further explanation of the formula.) The RPI may be the most influential factor in NCAA Tournament seeding. Cornell's RPI rank as of March 4, 2014 is No. 329 out of 351 total Division I teams. While neither the Ken Pomeroy or the Sagarin Rankings (USA Today) are used by the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee, the KenPom.com site ranks Cornell No. 332 in the nation, while the Sagarin Rankings (USA Today) have Cornell at No. 329. Both sites are predominantly used by fans and the media.
