- The New Haven Register claims that Yale is in the Ivy title hunt. The Bulldogs are tied at 3-3 in the Ivy League (3rd place) with Cornell. The two teams play in New Haven on Friday night.
- The Columbia Spectator concludes, "The only difference between the [Columbia] wins against Harvard and Cornell and the four losses [including to Cornell] is that the Light Blue actually found the bottom of the net in the wins."
- More highlights from Saturday night via Cornell athletics and new highlights from Friday night:
- The following was released from Cornell Athletics on Nolan Cressler's recent weekly honor from the Ivy Office:
ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell freshman guard Nolan Cressler has been named the Ivy League Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the second time this season after helping the Big Red split a pair of conference games. Cressler averaged 11.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game in a pair of games off the bench. In the Big Red's two-point loss to Harvard, Cressler hit 3-of-4 shots from the floor for eight points. He chipped in four rebounds and a steal. Cressler was even better in the 23-point win over Dartmouth, collecting 14 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals while making 5-of-6 shots from the floor. In just 45 total minutes on the weekend, he scored 22 points, grabbed nine rebounds, dished two assists and had three steals. For the season, Cressler is among the team's leaders in scoring (8.0 ppg.), rebounding (3.4 rpg.) and 3-point field goal percentage (.414) while sitting second on the team in 3-pointers made (36).

- Cornell RPI Watch: The RPI (Rating Percentage Index) is a measure of strength of schedule and how a team does against that schedule. It does not consider the margin of victory, but only whether or not a team won and where the game was played (home/away/neutral court). The formula is 25% team winning percentage (WP), 50% opponents' average winning percentage (OWP), and 25% opponents' opponents' average winning percentage (OOWP). (See: CollegeRPI.com for a further explanation of the formula.) The RPI may be the most influential factor in NCAA Tournament seeding. Cornell's RPI rank as of February 12 is No. 213 out of 344 total Division I teams. While neither the Ken Pomeroy or the Sagarin Rankings (USA Today) are used by the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee, the KenPom.com site ranks Cornell No. 232 in the nation, while the Sagarin Rankings (USA Today) have Cornell at No. 217. Both sites are predominantly used by fans and the media.
