• The Ivy League writes, "PRINCETON, N.J. -- An Ivy League men's basketball regular-season finale caps off the Saturday, March 9 afternoon slate of college basketball on the NBC Sports Network as Harvard (18-9, 10-3 Ivy League) welcomes Cornell (13-17, 5-8 Ivy) to Lavietes Pavilion for a 5:30 p.m. tip.  This is a critical season-ending matchup for the Crimson to remain in position for an outright claim of the Ivy title or possible share with Princeton (16-10, 9-3 Ivy). Randy Moss and Dalen Cuff are scheduled to call the action from courtside."

•  CBS Sports writes, "The only change in Saturday's bracket is that Harvard is back in as the Ivy leader, replacing Princeton, which lost Friday night at Yale. Harvard could clinch the title Saturday night if it beats Cornell and the Tigers lose at Brown."

• Cornell RPI Watch: The RPI (Rating Percentage Index) is a measure of strength of schedule and how a team does against that schedule. It does not consider the margin of victory, but only whether or not a team won and where the game was played (home/away/neutral court). The formula is 25% team winning percentage (WP), 50% opponents' average winning percentage (OWP), and 25% opponents' opponents' average winning percentage (OOWP). (See: CollegeRPI.com for a further explanation of the formula.) The RPI may be the most influential factor in NCAA Tournament seeding. Cornell's RPI rank as of March 9 is No. 253 out of 344 total Division I teams. While neither the Ken Pomeroy or the Sagarin Rankings (USA Today) are used by the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee, the KenPom.com site ranks Cornell No. 255 in the nation, while the Sagarin Rankings (USA Today) have Cornell at No. 266.  Both sites are predominantly used by fans and the media.
