- Bill Courtney was interviewed on ESPN 1160 this week. Listen to the podcast.
- Steve Donahue was asked at a media session about all of his team's close losses at Boston College. Donahue responded, "I would say in my 10 years at Cornell and my three years here, I don't know if I played this many combined. My last three years at Cornell, we had maybe one or two close ones each year. Even here at BC."
- The Cornell Club of Boston will be at the Big Red's game at Harvard this weekend. The game will be broadcast on NBC Sports.
- A future Cornell football player had 28 points and 18 rebounds in a Massachusetts Division 2 South Sectional semifinal.
- The Daily Princetonian goes around the Ivies and writes of Cornell:
6. Cornell (13-16, 5-7)Not long ago, Cornell had the best shot to beat out Princeton and Harvard of any of the other six teams, but the Big Red is now out of contention after a four-game losing streak to Ivy opponents in Ithaca. Perhaps Cornell can take solace in the solid season of freshman Nolan Cressler, who had the highest points per game average of any Big Red freshman and put up 19 points on Saturday.
- Ivy Hoops Online releases its latest power poll and placed Cornell in 6th and writes:
6. Cornell (5-7) (13 points)- Ivy Hoops Online voters had Cornell slotted everywhere from 5th to 8th this week. In a “what have you done for me lately” league, Cornell has rallied off four consecutive losses, all on its home floor, and squandered a chance to be a significant player in this year’s race. I could pretend it’s 1950, take out my whooping stick, and go all corporal punishment on the Big Red for its lackluster play, but what purpose would that serve? The Cornell team that placed as high as 3rd in the IHO polls is far different from the team we see today. A shoulder injury for Shonn Miller, an ankle injury for Devin Cherry, an undisclosed departure from basketball activities for Johnny Gray, and Cornell is playing with one hand tied behind its back. Take away 60% of any Ivy starting lineup this late in the season, in a year with as much parity as we’ve seen, and tell me which team doesn’t struggle. The aforementioned trio will not be walking on the floor again this season. What’s left for the Big Red is an opportunity to watch Nolan Cressler continue to flourish, an opportunity for guys like Deion Giddens to gain some much needed game experience, an opportunity for a senior class to take the floor one more time, and an opportunity to show some pride. For the sake of those sporting Red, let’s hope we can see at least that.

- Cornell RPI Watch: The RPI (Rating Percentage Index) is a measure of strength of schedule and how a team does against that schedule. It does not consider the margin of victory, but only whether or not a team won and where the game was played (home/away/neutral court). The formula is 25% team winning percentage (WP), 50% opponents' average winning percentage (OWP), and 25% opponents' opponents' average winning percentage (OOWP). (See: CollegeRPI.com for a further explanation of the formula.) The RPI may be the most influential factor in NCAA Tournament seeding. Cornell's RPI rank as of March 6 is No. 243 out of 344 total Division I teams. While neither the Ken Pomeroy or the Sagarin Rankings (USA Today) are used by the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee, the KenPom.com site ranks Cornell No. 257 in the nation, while the Sagarin Rankings (USA Today) have Cornell at No. 250 Both sites are predominantly used by fans and the media.
