  • CBS Sports is previewing the college basketball conferences in order of strength.  Previews released thus far include (with Cornell opponents in parentheses):

  • The ACC coaches voted on a preseason poll.  Check out where Cornell opponent Duke is expected to finish, as well as the former Cornell coach staffing at Boston College.
  • MLive.com writes of Western Michigan University, "WMU’s 17-man roster is full of fresh faces, plus some familiar ones. The Broncos are eagerly anticipating their exhibition opener against Kalamazoo College at University Arena, slated for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1.  Nine days later, it starts for real when WMU visits Cornell in the season opener. The Broncos' home opener is Nov. 13 against Marygrove."  MLive also writes, "The Broncos will host two exhibition games -- the first being on Thursday, Nov. 1 versus Kalamazoo College at 7 p.m.; the second on Saturday, Nov. 3 versus Roosevelt at 2 p.m.  WMU opens the season at Cornell with a noon road game on Saturday, Nov. 10."
