  • CollegeInsider.com has taken notice of Cornell and speaks to Bill Courtney in a podcast.  Bill Courtney also breaks news that has been known around the program since the start of classes.
  • On the Ivy League, the Boston Herald writes, "It certainly makes for a more interesting schedule when league play kicks off later in January. There is no conference tournament, and the NCAA bid goes to the team standing tallest after the regular season. Harvard has been the bell cow in the conference for the past few years, but with Yale at 8-3, and with Columbia and Cornell above .500, what is going on in the league should serve as a warning to the 7-1 Crimson."
  • Black Shoe Diaries writes, "Penn State sits at ten wins and one loss right now. Their wins have come over Morgan State, Fordham, Cornell, USC, Akron, Bucknell, Virginia Tech, Marshall, Duquesne, and George Washington. Their only loss came in double overtime to Charlotte."  Crimson Quarry also writes on PSU, "Pat Chambers's team is 10-1 right now. So why am I still a little skeptical of them? Well, the strength of schedule has been questionable, for one. In addition, a lot of these victories came by the slimmest of margins - Cornell by 1 point, Duquesne by 2, and Virginia Tech by 3."
  • After Cal beat Princeton, the A.P. noted, "Although the two teams hadn't played each other in five years, forward Dwight Tarwater has seen plenty of Princeton. The fifth-year senior transfer previously played six games against the Tigers while attending Cornell. Tarwater had five points and two rebounds..."
