Weekly Ivy Awards

With no games scheduled last week, Cornell was not eligible for the Ivy League's weekly awards. Below is a list of the weekly winners for the 2011-2012 season and an excerpt from this week's release from the Ivy League Office.

Ivy League Office, PRINCETON, N.J. -- The slate is slight for Ivy League men’s basketball with only six games on the schedule this week.

Only Dartmouth and Cornell enjoy games at home, both on Saturday, with the Big Green welcoming Elon and the Big Red hosting Albany. Princeton is the only Ivy team with two games this week, first making the short trip south to Lawrenceville, N.J., to take on Rider. The Tigers head north over the weekend to take on Northeastern in their fourth of seven-straight games away from home.

"Inside Ivy League Basketball" returns for its third episode on Thursday, Dec. 15. "Inside Ivy League Basketball," hosted by Dan Loney and Brian Seltzer, takes an in-depth look at all the news and notes surrounding Ivy men’s and women’s basketball on and off the courts during the 2011-12 season. The 12-episode show debuted Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. on BlogTalkRadio.com (blogtalkradio.com/insideivyleaguebasketball) and is available on-demand via BlogTalkRadio and IvyLeagueSports.com. After the New Year, "Inside" moves to its weekly spot on Wednesdays beginning Jan. 11, 2012.

Each episode is packed with highlights, statistics and expert analysis in its 'Around the Ancient Eight' and 'Women's Basketball Round-Up' segments. With its interview segments 'Program Profile,' 'Student-Athlete Spotlight' and 'Alumni Focus,' the show will visit with past and present players, coaches and administrators who impact Ivy League basketball.

Fans and alumni can interact with the show via its social media platforms -- Facebook (Inside Ivy League Basketball) and Twitter (@insideivyhoops) -- as well as provide ideas and content for the show’s 'Twitter Talk/Facebook Fodder' segment.
