• BroncoBlitz.com predicts the outcome of Cornell vs. Western Michigan.  The site writes:

David: Tough road test to start with for the young Broncos. Cornell isn't what they were a couple of years ago, but they have some veterans and are expected to contend in the Ivy League. 

Score Prediction: Cornell 76 WMU 62

DJ: I think this could have been an interesting matchup later in the season, but I think with WMU's youth, they may struggle getting into the swing of things. The Broncos could have some size issues on the inside, but they more than make up for it with athleticism. I think this is a tough game, but WMU will be able to keep it close. 

Score Prediction: Cornell 86 WMU 77

Brian: The Broncos actually match up reasonably well against Cornell. As long as they don't get run out of the gym by an aggressive Big Red squad that will be gunning in the first half, I think Western Michigan keeps it closer than people think. But in the end, this is a tall order for a young team to go on the road and begin the season in this kind of an environment. They're certainly capable of winning, but they'll have to execute everything perfectly to do so. If the Broncos pull this one out, watch out. 

Score Prediction: Cornell 72 WMU 64

• Ithaca.com writes, "This winter will be a good time to focus once again on some of the world-class athletes we’ve seen come through the area. Spencer-Van Etten graduate Jeff Foote has gone overseas again, but that doesn’t rule out a return stateside this season. An NBA Developmental League team who has some young players wash out would be happy to have the seven-foot center on their squad. The jump straight from Europe to the NBA seems less plausible, but he is playing for a premier European squad."

• CNNSI.com writes, "Randy Moss, who appears on NBC's horse racing coverage, will call the play-by-play for all Ivy League games alongside former Columbia point guard Dalen Cuff. Liam McHugh will host the network's studio show along with former NBA player Stacey King. They'll also handle the pre-game, halftime and post-game coverage during the season.
