Presbyterian Game Notes for Cornell



The Presbyterian College men's basketball team is in Las Vegas for the final two games of the 12th Annual Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational. The Blue Hose take on Cornell Friday, Nov. 23 at 4:30 p.m. (ET) and face either Longwood or Florida A&M Saturday, Nov. 24 at 3 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. (ET). All the games are being held at Orleans Arena and are being broadcast live on WKRI i91.9-FM.

The Blue Hose are 0-4 and are led by Jordan Downing with 11.5 points and Joshua Clyburn with 10.5 ppg. Clyburn paces the team with 5.8 rpg, followed by William Truss with 5.0. PC is averaging 45.8 ppg and 25.8 rpg. The Blue Hose are shooting 36.0% from the field and 32.4% from beyond the three-point arc.

PC is in Las Vegas for the second time in their short Division I history. The Blue Hose were last in Las Vegas in 2009 as part of the HoopTV Las Vegas Invitational. PC will be meeting all the teams in the tournament for the first time in their history. Potential opponent Longwood is a first year member in the Big South Conference

Creighton led 43-17 at the half but the Blue Hose out-scored the Blue Jays 44-41 in the second half to fall by the final 85-58 score ... Jordan Downing exploded for a career-high 25 points off four three-pointers, while Ryan McTavish added a career-mark team0leading six rebounds ...
The Blue Hose used an 11-2 run to take a 20-16 lead against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets late in the first half Nov. 14th ... PC went into the locker room with a 25-24 lead ...
